Bacon and cheddar quiche

Quiche is one of my favorite foods, hands down. So much so, I was pretty excited to have the opportunity to share some at an event I am attending this evening. I’m serving it for Dessert.

Total time from prep to dish: 75 minutes

Serves: 8 Vikings

Ingredients:

4 eggs, 1 pack of bacon, 1 pie crust, 1 cup milk, 1 cup cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper and an onion is optional. This is one of the easiest recipes I have ever made hands down and I know people are gonna dig it. PREHEAT YOUR OVEN IN ADVANCE to 350 degrees F.

Begin by baking your amazing bacon in the oven at 350 degrees F for about 25 minutes. The bacon should be crisp to your liking but don’t burn it. That is a sin.

Next mix the 4 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup cheese, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper and some chopped onion (if that is your thing) into a mixing bowl and beat it like the plague. Just annihilate it until everything is all mixed together real nice. When your bacon slices are acceptable, cut half of them into bits and add it to the party. That’s our pie filling.

Now pour your pie filling into your pie crust. Throw a few slices of bacon on the top for extra protection and then bake it in your oven at 350 degrees F for about 50 minutes or until you can cleanly slide a butter knife into and then back out of the quiche.

A quiche fit for a Viking

There we have it. I made my contribution for tonight’s event. Why did I make a quiche? Because I want to serve it as dessert. I like quiche and I think I should not only enjoy my absurdity but I should share it as well. Tonight I am going to encourage people to enjoy something they might not normally enjoy but I already understand likely will. This is simply because someone like me will lead and encourage them to try something new outside their norm. This is called the “Halo Effect.” And besides, I put bacon on my quiche and bacon makes everything better.

I listened to “Falls” Kaskade Remix by Odesza while I made this. I thought about my last blog post and I cannot thank you all enough for the support.

You’re Welcome. Internet.
